Total Reset

Born on Whadjuk country in Perth, Western Australia, Greg Campbell is the author of Total Reset. In 1972 an extraordinary event occurred on Country when he was bitten by the Rainbow Serpent, died six times and then experienced the universe through its eyes.Twenty years later, following successful careers in the public and corporate sectors, Greg was pulled to the remote West Kimberely region of Western Australia and found himself seated on the red earth with Lulu, a widely respected traditional Aboriginal elder with shaman-like powers. His totem was the Rainbow Serpent.Deeply concerned about the future of the planet and threats to all life, Lulu, who did not read or write, asked Greg to live with him and the Goolarabooloo family and make one book. He felt that by bringing to the surface the Original Knowledge carried by the First Australians for tens of thousands of years, people would be able to look at our world through different lenses, opening new pathways for returning things to balance. Greg did not know it was his life's purpose. The work took 31 years.Interwoven with many stories and much research, Total Reset was first published in 2022. It is available as a printed book, eBook and audiobook narrated by accomplished Aboriginal actor and creative, Mark Coles Smith (a Nyikina man, like Lulu). More information is available on its website: https: //www.totalreset.com.auTotal Reset posits that at this critical moment in the human saga there is a desperate need for alternative pathways to humanity's 5,000-year trajectory of division and destruction. Time-tested, respectful modes of being and doing are highlighted along with reliable design elements of aligned socio-economic systems and structures, a societal blueprint.Part 1 of the three-part book considers how humanity's present predicament arose, provides an evidence-backed summation of our world's endangered state and then contrasts modern socio-economic settings with those of traditional Indigenous peoples. The information-rich chapters are interspersed with stories from the author's life illustrating the positive impact of opening to the oneness reality. Part 2, enriched by stories of the author's experiences with Lulu and his people, explores sapiens' Original Knowledge of unified modes of living and being on Earth, pointing to commonalities of the structures, systems and ways of the many different societies of our world's oldest continuous culture, that of the First Peoples of Australia. It reveals a societal blueprint capable of application in any era.Part 3 brings into focus life-affirming alternatives to exploitative mindsets and practices (the latter typified by an account of the 2005-13 Battle for Walmadany when some of the world's largest corporations joined with governments to industrialise the sacred land of a songline). Inspired by the First Peoples' broad blueprint, it outlines a range of strategies for beneficial change at the global, national, regional/local and individual levels.
