Hey, I'm not saying that this is the best guitar book ever. I collect many guitar books. Also many other music books for many other instruments. So I have LOTS of books to compare this book and cd to. Thousands of pounds of books. Talking about this book only, I find that it is a guitar book that you can spend lots of time with and learn a lot of guitar playing things from. Many times I travel and have to travel lite. I can only take a few basic guitar books with me. This is now one of them. I first picked up the guitar in 1979 and I don't think I'll ever make the claim that I have mastered guitar playing? Do you know of any doctor who has mastered medicine? Really? All of it? Bottom line is this book deals with a huge chunk of guitar playing. Just think, the greats never had a book like this. I mean the players from way on back. Buy it. Buy a copy. You will have more to go off of than they ever did. Medium priced guitars and LOTS of books and CD's. Remember that. I don't tell everyone my secret!!!
A Beginner's Find!

This is a comprehensive resource for a beginning guitar player. There are clear lessons with detailed high quality pictures throughout, history of guitar, hardware, recording hints, chord finder and chart, scales, influential player sketches, and much more. What a beginner's find! I have not purchased total keyboard by Terry Burrows but plan to do it soon. I'm positive it is as good as this one for guitar! Daniel Miranda
