Tori Virden attended regular and special education classes through graduation from high school. She graduated in 2009. Shortly after her graduation, she moved to Mosaic, an organization that supports adults with intellectual disabilities by providing a meaningful life in a caring community and helps give a voice to their needs. One of those special adults is a gifted poet named Tori Virden. Before coming to Mosaic her life was difficult. She had problems with anxiety and coping with day to day issues. Tori works with Mosaic's Jumpy Monkey coffee franchise. She takes pride in serving her coffee customers and also working in the grind room packaging coffee. She is one of the few employees who actually sees the product through from start to finish. Tori started writing poems when she was 11 but didn't get serious about writing until she was in high school. When Tori writes it helps her express her feelings and emotions. She has written the majority of her poems in a local coffee house and at the public library. She hopes you enjoy these poems.
