A disappointing abridgement

This version of Topsell is "translated" into modern language, making him easily readable, but is otherwise disappointing because it is highly abridged. It's not even 200 pages of Topsell's more than 1,000. The problem is that this is the only available print version of Topsell for a reasonable price. For someone just wanting a taste of Topsell's writing and the natural science of his day, it's recommended.
