Father Samuel could recall the venom's bite on his thigh, the burn it caused, and how it tore and scarred his flesh as it spread. The sensation of lava seeping into his bones and replacing the marrow triggered the snapping of all of his bones. No matter how hard he tried or how much he repented, he was cursed.
