Tom the Lion is excited today. Sid and Hazel are coming round for a game of soccer. But first Tom has to get the garden ready. The 'Tom the Lion' series of children's books is based around three animal friends: Tom the Lion, and Sid and Hazel, who are both squirrels. Each of the first five stories explores one of the New Economics Foundation's 'Five Ways to Wellbeing' and will be of particular benefit to children who have been through trauma or who struggle with their emotions. The series as a whole promotes literacy, wellbeing and mental health, and is centered on the popular Tom the Lion character from 'Sleeping Lions', an app used in elementary schools in the UK to help children calm down.
