Cleopatra and the Third Man together.

A movie about love and war. I missed both wars in this movie but made it to a later one. The film slips into patriotic propaganda. There is even a quote from Tom Paine. Claudette Colbert as Elizabeth Hamilton has a husband, Orson Welles as John Andrew MacDonald, who was declared dead at the close of the Great War. I will not go on with the story, as that is why you are going to watch this movie. The movie is mostly a tearjerker with philosophical lines from everyone. “There is much more than pity. There is great love and great need.” - John Wengraf as Dr. Ludwig. There is “constantly” ridiculous tearjerker music in the background. It would be better off as a silent film. Oh, no, you guessed the ending. Still, it is worth watching, and again, for details you may have missed. “We must live for tomorrow. “Because tomorrow is forever.” This applies to many of us also beyond this movie.
