Tommy slumped onto the bottom step of the porch, his shoulders slumped. His mom watched him from the doorway, a gentle concern creasing her forehead. "I see you're frustrated-want to tell me what happened?" she asked softly. Tommy hesitated, scuffing his sneaker against the wooden step. "It's... it's about the older kids at the park," he mumbled, his voice barely above a whisper. He looked up at his mom, his eyes filled with a mix of frustration and a hint of fear. His mom sat down beside him, placing a comforting arm around his shoulders. "The same kids who were bothering you before?" she asked, her voice calm and reassuring. "What happened this time, sweetie?"
"They took my new airplane!" Tommy burst out, his voice cracking with anger and disappointment. "The one you helped me build! They said it was stupid and threw it in the mud!"
