Just as Good as his Original, perhaps better in having fresher rhymes

Because there are some necessary space limitations in the board book format, there are plenty of short Mother Goose rhymes that did not make it into Tomie dePaola's first collection. Here are some favorites and some less well-known verses. I rediscovered an old favorite here "Little King Pippin/he buit a fine hall/Pie crust and pastry crust/that was the wall," alongside Little Jack Horner, Lavendar's Blue, Georgie Porgie, Tweedledum and Tweedledee and more. For someone who likes Mother Goose and wants their child to be exposed the classic rhymes, you can't go wrong with both these books. There are the more "complete" collections, of course, but my child is still at the ripping stage and somewhat abridged board books work fine for right now.
