Tomato man is a fictional story about the richest man in the world who was never able to defeat the ghost poverty. He spent his entire life chasing the dream of becoming rich by growing tomatoes without realizing he had been rich all along. Because family, love, and health are the true riches of this world.

The story takes place somewhere in Latin America in the 1950s in a small town forgotten by God and tormented by nostalgia. The novel explores the traditions, legends, foods, and offers an intimate glance at the lives of peculiar people who, from another life, desire not to be forgotten.
