Tom the Turkey was born and raised on a turkey farm where all the Toms received the same treatment. After being loaded on a semi-trailer for what the farmer called a "great journey of change," Tom the Turkey's coop latch opens when the truck hits a bump in the highway. The wind sucks Tom the Turkey out of the truck, leaving him all alone on the side of the road next to wilderness. He enters the forest to find help, but finds what freedom truly means when he encounters a flock of wild turkeys.
