Dr. Heimers' book had changed the way I see the Gospel.It exposes the performance based nature of the gospel preached by 99% of Evangelicalism. Today's gospel is not the Gospel of Grace that is proclaimed by the New Testament or by the preachers of the Great Awakening. It is a gospel of works and man centered instead of coming from God. No wonder our so called Christian civilization is in the outhouse! For Heaven's sake, read this book and get it to your pastor.

This book adresses some real issues of the crumbling Church

We as Americans embrace Christianity but why do we live in a nation filled with unspeakable crimes? The book answered many questions for me concerning the apparent spiritual morass of our country and it's people, myself included.
