olivia parker does it again!

I loved this book. I loved Parker's debut novel and this one is just as good, if not better. I was hooked from beginning to end and couldn't put it down. I can't wait until her next release!

I loved it and re-read it again!

I really loved this story. I am not sure why it received such bad reviews. I could not put this book down. I did notice the jumping around in time, but to be honest I liked it. The story did not drag on and on with day to day going ons. Instead it focused on how the two of them interacted in different situations that occurred. The author filled these gaps by telling the reader what the characters had been up to, such as meeting covertly in a park pretending not to be together. Each chapter was something new and exciting. I loved how Lord Rothbury's character was portrayed by his own chapters in the story. I hate when the story centers soley on one character and you never know what the hero is thinking. Lord Rothbury's thoughts I felt were natural. It was obvious that he was ashamed of himself and felt he was not good enough for Charlotte. Charlotte's feelings regarding Lord Rothbury did not suprise me. She had little faith in her looks and she was convinced that he was unattainable. I would recommend this book to anyone. It was wonderfully written and I cannot wait to see where the author goes next. My only critism is that the author kept referring to things that happened at Wolverest, when in actuality they occurred in a different location.

It was worth the wait!!!!

Having read and loved, Olivia Parker's debut book, At the Bride Hunt Ball, I was eagerly awaiting her latest offering and I was not disappointed. I loved, loved, loved Lord Rothbury. He was humourous and sweet and romantic and arrogant and vulnerable and kind despite having a bad reputation. Having read the whole book, I understood why he acted as he had and why he felt that Charlotte would never marry him. I thoroughly enjoyed the book, it was funny and entertaining. The romance felt genuine and the relationship between Rothbury and Charlotte wasn't rushed, but grew as the book went on. I finished the book feeling happy and cannot wait for the next book by the author, Lady Rosalind's story, perhaps?
