Cindy & Tim are the names they created which would reflect the perfect couple they could have been. They use these names to escape the reality of being themselves and being reminded of why their relationship will never work. Cindy finds herself in love with the author, a queer Jamaican girl; their society isn't ready for their love and neither is Cindy.
