Lily's freshman year is proving hard. She's not used to having a social life, or a love life - and now she's got both. She's also got to keep up with classes and a mountain of studying.
Since she just came out as trans to her friends, she's got to be careful not to put herself in danger. Every social interaction risks someone taking exception to something she says, or her very identity.
But there's one important thing that no-one knows about Lily. If it ever does get too much - she could escape the danger. Because she's not really a deeply closeted trans girl.
She's not really transitioning in secret. She's not really transitioning at all.
She's just pretending.
