This book is a 21-day prayer and devotional journal that seeks to strengthen the bonds of mothers and their children. As our parents age, we can sometimes forget the things they have done for us when we were young and the responsibilities of caring for an aged parent can cause us to lose sight or forget the sacrifices they have made for us throughout the years.
Our once strong, viral mother (or father), who we looked to for love, support, and advice, is now in need of our care, prayers, and unfailing love. As they navigate the twilight years, it can be frustrating, scary, and lonely. Equally so, it can be frustrating for us to care for them. But I am reminded that the scriptures says to honor thy father and thy mother so that thy days may be long.
In a busy world, our elderly parents are often forgotten and are left to fend for themselves in a world that has changed and has become callous and unkind to those who are weak.

I hope that as you walk this road with me, praying, and encouraging my mother that you too will take the time to pray and encourage your mother (or father). And it is my heartfelt desire that this devotional and these prayers will cause you to see your mother (or father) as Christ sees them... Loved! For those who have a strained relationship with their parents, I hope this journal will act as a conduit and be a balm in your Gilead, healing your soul, and restoring relationships.
