My name is Stacey, and my life has changed dramatically since I first learned my long-dead sister wasn't actually dead. I went from a single child to having a living sister...that then becomes mistress of the wild hunt.

Then I become a sorcerer. And the apprentice to the wild hunt. I'm arguably fourteen, yet I've been rocketed to the pinnacle of elven society.

Too bad the society doesn't know the full truth.

As it is, I have an admirer out there that I can't identify. One that has been manipulating things for longer than I expected. I'm about to find out what they're willing to do to put a ring on it, as they say.

I may be a teenaged sorcerer, but making it through this isn't at all a given. When even your classmates turn against you and the press comes out swinging, what chance does someone my age have? I feel like a fly facing the onrushing wave of destruction from a nuke going off.

Except this fly has to live. I can't let myself get crushed under by the wave of everything coming at me.

My world has been rocked by the things happening to me, to my family, and now I think it's time for every elf's world to be rocked. After all, when you have stuff tucked away, something you just gotta yank off the bushel basket hiding it from the world.
