But foremost, it has Bogart and Bacall, carrying on with a passion that smolders from the tips of their cigarettes clear through to their souls.

A Hemingway Classic on the Big Screen

This movie brings together the start of Bacall-Bogart as their off screen romance blossoms before us in this classical tale of love and trust from Ernest Hemingway set in the Spain of Franco's take over war. Bogart was featured in a few of Hemingways novels brought to life and they turn it on pretty good in this one.
