MY THOUGHTS ON THIS BOOK
To Every Page a Turning: One Life’s Journey by Carl Buccellato is a sweet historical fiction that follows the life of a young boy as he journey’s through life. The main character parallels the authors own life and the goods and the bads of that life as his journey unfolds. I love the opening of the book with the old man and woman sitting on their porch drinking coffee. This sets the mood for the story for me. The journey of this man was interesting, entertaining, fun at times, but there are many times it was the harsh reality of living life and the difficulties he faced along the way. This is a somewhat different historical fiction that will grab your heart and keep it for a while.
Carl Buccellato does such a good job writing this book. For those of us born in the 1950’s it was interesting to think back through those times and years. The main character as well as the supporting characters were well crafted and thought out and their development throughout the story was spot on. I appreciate the references in his faith in the Lord and it was really nice as well as encouraging the way he didn’t back down from what he bbelieves. There is a lot more in this short book that will have you laughing and sometimes in tears. This one is a Five Stars for me.
A special thanks to the author/publisher for a copy of this book. I am not required to write a positive review, the opinions here are mine alone.

To Every Page a Turning: One Life's Journey is a good debut by Carl Buccellato. I have to say his talent really shines through this book. It was an easy read at less than two hundred pages and I had no problem reading the whole story in one sitting. I was fascinated from the start and all the way to the end. Such a beautiful read.
In To Every Page a Turning: One Life's Journey, readers will be taking back in time. It tells about an older man who finds his old writings from the past and finds himself going back in time. The journey begins with during the 1950s. He is reminded about how he was about to find himself throughout his life. He experiences a lot in his lifetime. He has to learn about hope, faith, peace, and what inspires him. If a reader is like me, they will be brought to tears at times, so I advise others to keep tissues handy.
I will be giving To Every Page a Turning: One Life's Journey a very well deserved five plus stars. I recommend it for readers who enjoy reading war fiction. It is one that will inspire many and should not be missed. It is definitely worth a read. I would love to read more by Carl Buccellato in the future.
I received a paperback copy of To Every Page a Turning: One Life's Journey from the publisher. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
