Betty is through with men. First, she lived through her mother's abusive boyfriend and homelessness. Then she found Jesus and knew He would be with her no matter what-after that, meeting her husband had been perfect until the car crash and the loss which had devastated her. Alcohol and divorce, but Betty knew Jesus would prepare her for what was next. Jeremy thinks all women are alike. But unfortunately, his longtime girlfriend was gone long before he even realized it. With a soured attitude, Jeremy swore off women. He preferred to stay single-fewer complications.
