I simply adored reading "to be a fine Lady". Sarah is not conceited, forceful or arrogant. She was not blessed with startling beauty or plenty of money. Her insecurities are real and her growth in the book is realistic. She is not an ugly duck turned into a beautiful swan, but she has an inner charm that draws admirers. I have heard some criticize the book, and say it is slow, but I found it funny and sweet. There are plenty of secondary characters to please everyone. Miles, the hero, is maddening slow, when it comes to revealing his feelings, but you understand why, because of his past. I loved this book and would recommend it everyone...
