Two Knock Outs In A Row!

I loved the first Duffy Dombrowski mystery, On the Ropes, and eagerly awaited the second offering. I was not disappointed. TKO is hysterical and even better than On the Ropes. Once again, Tom Schreck has delivered a book full of insane humor and crazy characters centered around a well-plotted mystery. I find it hard to believe that anyone could not fall in love with Schlitz-swilling Duffy and his basset hound Al. One piece of advice to Duffy: Go buy yourself a NuttyBuddy http://www.nuttybuddy.com/. In your case it should be standard equipment.
Duffy Makes A Triumphant Return!

If you have not yet discovered this series, do yourself a favor, and do so now. After he delivered a terrific debut with ON THE ROPES, I was anxiously looking forward to what Schreck would do for a follow-up. The answer: One of the most enjoyable reads of the year. Duffy is a true original, and Schreck has populated the boxer/social worker/Elvis Fanatic's world with a cast of characters to match. The plot kept me turning pages, stopping only for a good laugh, of which there are many. And while the author has done a marvelous job of building on the solid foundation he created in ON THE ROPES, it's entirely possible to enjoy TKO without having read the first book. But then again, why the heck would you not pick up both?
"Depends" alert! Totally fantastic reading!

From the very first paragraph of Duffy's latest adventure, I was laughing my tushie off, cackling like some insane witch, at Duffy's wise-cracking remarks. I fell in love with Tom's Duffy in "On the Ropes" and even though I consider him a great friend on Myspace and am very proud to claim him, I know what an outstanding book is, and this is one! I can hardly wait for the 3rd one, and two of my friends are waiting anxiously to get acquainted with Duffy! Anyone who wants a great read, with tons of excitement, mystery, nerves, gut-splitting laughs, and near-death experiences, Duffy is for you!
Another Knockout

Schreck scores again. TKO is a mystery filled with laughs, action, bad basset hound manners, and heart. I read it in one sitting, and eagerly look forward to the next Duffy adventure. If you like Spenser, Travis McGee, Stephanie Plum, or Elvis Cole, don't even hesitate---this is right your alley.
