Why do 80% of New Year's resolutions fail by February? It's not because you lack discipline; it's because you've been sold a lie. For decades, the self-improvement industry has insisted that change is a matter of willpower. But science tells a different story: willpower is a finite, unreliable resource, and "trying harder" is the fastest way to burn out. In Tiny Experiments, we dismantle the willpower trap and replaces it with a revolutionary framework: Environment Design. Instead of fighting your biology, you'll learn to outsmart it using fifteen unconventional, research-proven shortcuts that feel like cheating. Discover the "Nappuccino" that clears brain fog in twenty minutes, the meal-sequencing trick that flattens glucose spikes by 73% without changing what you eat, and the "exercise snacks" that build cardiovascular health in the time it takes to climb a staircase. Stop guessing and start testing. Using this four-step protocol-Baseline, Pilot, Measure, Scale-you will transform your life into a personal laboratory. Are you ready to stop being a victim of your habits and start becoming the architect of your own operating system? The lab is open. It's time to see what actually works.
So Interesting! Easy to Read! Yet, Appeals to Those Who Enjoy Science!

When even drugs can get licensed when they benefit only 55% of the people they are tested on (or less), how can you REALLY know if some "weird trick" or "life hack" is going to work for you? If you try something that you think will benefit your health or mental/emotional balance, how can you tell it is helping you amidst all the noise and complications of modern life?
OK, I admit that I am a research geek and always want to know the science behind claims seen in the media, but I REALLY liked this book! The author is not only sharing the research that these "life hacks" are based on (with full citations in the back of the book!), He gives you the methodology to test these items to see if they actually work for YOU! Gotta love that. And it's OK if you don't want to actually do the (easy) experimental techniques he gives you. You still might find something valuable here.
Need a breathing technique to keep yourself calm? A painless way to save money? How about an exercise that will make a meaningful change in your VO2peak (and thus improve daily functioning and all-cause mortality) and requires only 3 minutes a week? Plus eight other interesting and useful ways to make your life better.
This book is very well-written, easy to read and entertaining. Very appealing to science-oriented individuals and interesting enough (and easy enough to read) to appeal to those who are not-so-science-oriented.
