Summary:

Pomo, a brave and curious panda, finds a secret time machine in his bamboo grove. Pomo gets into the machine with a brave attitude and an endless curiosity. He then begins an amazing trip through history. He meets some of the most important inventors in history when he goes through time in the time machine.

Pomo's first stop is Leonardo da Vinci's workshop, where he learns how important it is to both make things and watch other people. Because Pomo has such good eyesight, he helps Leonardo solve a big design problem with his flying machine. This experience makes Pomo want to be artistic. After that, Pomo ends up at Thomas Edison's busy lab. Edison is working on the electric lightbulb, and Pomo is learning how to be patient and try out different ways to solve problems. Pomo is pumped up and proud of themselves after successfully lighting up the room.

In a lab from the future, Pomo meets Nikola Tesla, a man who is working on wireless power. Tesla's new ideas and plans for a connected world teach Pomo how important it is to think outside the box. Pomo is amazed by Tesla's creativity and his ability to break down normal barriers to make amazing findings. After that, Pomo goes to Alexander Graham Bell's cozy study and helps him make the telephone. Here, he learns how important it is to talk to people in order to build connections. Pomo is thrilled that their project went well and that technology has so many uses.

Pomo meets the Wright brothers, Orville and Wilbur, on a windy beach where they are testing their first flight. He knows how important it is to work together and loves seeing a project come together. Pomo loves going up into the sky to help his brothers with their studies. As Pomo spends time with Marie Curie in her lab, she learns more about the amazing world of radioactivity. Because of how hard she works and how brave she is, he understands how important research is and how it can lead to big discoveries. Pomo meets George Washington Carver in a lovely yard, and Carver teaches him about farming and how to make things last longer. The natural world and the ways that science can make everyday life better become more interesting to Pomo.

Last but not least, Pomo meets Hedy Lamarr in Hollywood, where she is studying frequency-hopping technology. Pomo is amazed by how imagination can work across fields, and he knows that combining different hobbies can lead to amazing discoveries. As Pomo goes back in time, he learns how important imagination and creation are for changing the world. Pomo is inspired by his trip to use what he has learned to solve problems and make new things in his bamboo grove. His successes show that if you have the drive and imagination, you can do anything.

Chapter 1: The Secret Time Machine

Pomo was a brave and curious panda who lived in a peaceful bamboo forest. The air was clean, and the sun shone through the leaves. One sunny afternoon, Pomo was studying a part of the forest he had never been to before and found something amazing. An old, mysterious device was tucked among the tall bamboo stalks and partly submerged in the ground. Pomo saw it when the bright sunlight made the shiny surface sparkle. He saw weird patterns on its body that he had never seen before as he got closer.

It made Pomo's heart beat fast with excitement and interest. He went around the gadget and looked at every part of it. The gears and switches on it made it look like it was both strangely modern and very old, and it could do amazing things. On the side of the machine is a big red button that looks scary. Pomo was torn between being compelled to know more and not wanting to. He thought about what would happen if he pressed it. Is there a sound? Could it move?
