A chaotic, 13-million-strong melting pot of ethnic groups from all over India, Mumbai is India's economic engine and home to the world's largest film industry. 600 kilometres away, the golden beaches of Goa feel like another country. Drawing on insider expertise, this book discusses both locales.
I like the book very much and have found it to be very helpful in planning my trip. I also liked the service I received from Bookseller Closeouts. Their service was fast and very good. Thanks!
Reliable guide to a large city

I like Time Out guides - they are light weight, cover many aspects of a city and point the way to interesting shopping and places to eat. That being said, I wish there was a way to figure out what things are near each other without turning pages back and forth because the guide is organized by type of thing (sites, shopping, eating) and not by neighborhood, which I find way more helpful. Also, there are some wonderful shops in Mumbai that sell the type of merchandise people like myself are interested in and they are either not included or are written up in a way that doesn't point out how special they are. Still, compared to options like Wallpaper and Luxe guides, these are, by far, the best option.
