Bill Garrigan had had it. For too long the retired business consultant watched the people and things he loved fade and die. First his twin brother, then his wife. Now he watched helplessly as his country was torn apart by activists on both ends of the political spectrum. He saw it as a sort of partisan bell curve, with divisive extremists on each end spewing their destructive rhetoric while the bulk of Americans huddled in the middle just trying to live their lives. When Bill's young granddaughter is gunned down in yet another school shooting, he knew the time for simply watching was over. Now was the time for action. Now was time for stopping it.
