This is the second book in the Time Leap series. Book 1 ends with Niki and Joe stranded in a disaster-hit future by a Russian hit-man called Smirnoff. Book two continues the adventures of the time-travelling team as they encounter King Arthur and his knights, a great spiritual leader from the past and ancient people from Egypt and Lemuria. Reuniting with Joe and Niki, Smirnoff suggests they travel 50,000 forwards in time to see what type of people, if any, would exist in the far future. They are surprised to encounter a matriarchal society with advanced knowledge of the World and highly developed human powers. Returning home, Niki's experience of the future makes her want to meet a spiritual messenger from the past. After lengthy preparations for their trip, the couple travel 2,000 back in time year and meet the man himself. What would happen if they take him to their present time, they wonder? Later, it's Joe's turn to choose a time period. Having loved the stories of King Arthur and his knights from his childhood, he opts for sixth century Britain. Appreciating the dangers of travelling alone at that time, they take Smirnoff and an old university friend of Joe's with them (Gareth Hughes). They do succeed in meeting the King, but not without being imprisoned and nearly killed. Gareth accompanies Niki and Joe on one final trip - this time to the fabled Atlantis and Lemuria. Did these lands really exist? What did our intrepid time travelers discover 12,000 years ago in the past? Read on to find out
