Birthdays are usually a normal event. One invites all their friends over, has cake, and plays games. Well Ian's seventeenth birthday is anything except normal. How, in just one day, can someone not only lose their parents, but also a year of their own life? Well, Ian can tell you how, because that is exactly what happens to him. To make matters worse, as if they could get worse for a normal birthday, Ian's best friend, Kayla, is erased from history. The reason is unknown and up to Ian to find out why.

Once Ian discovers who his ancestors are, and the duty he has been destined for all his life, he not only has to find out how to bring Kayla back to the present, but also how to keep Mason's hands off the 'Time Keeper.' It's the one true artifact that Ian has in his possession that can save, or destroy history as he knows it.
