Time & Space Visualiser: The story and history of Doctor Who as data visualisations

By Paul Smith

DOCTOR WHO AS YOU'VE NEVER SEEN IT BEFORE Approaching its 50th anniversary, Doctor Who is one of the longest running television programmes in the world. And probably no other is as well documented.Innumerable books and websites have been written charting the production, broadcast and universe of Doctor Who. But these text sources only give the facts and figures, they don't present the information in a visual form that can be more easily interpreted.TIME & SPACE VISUALISER presents a wealth of knowledge about the programme as data visualisations, using eye-catching graphics to explore the contributions of the people who made the series, to analyse the places and people encountered by the Doctor within the show, to understand its transmission patterns and audience, and to examine how the programme has extended beyond broadcast into print and home media. With analysis of the data and its context, these visualisations provide a whole new way of looking at both the fact and fiction of a television series.TIME & SPACE VISUALISER - A FRESH PERSPECTIVE ON THE STORY AND HISTORY OF DOCTOR WHO120 pages, full colour; Softcover; Designed and written by Paul Smith; Published by Wonderful Books
