The Pregnant Mare Rescue has written a series of ten books addressing tough issues and life lessons children sometimes face. The inspiration to write these stories comes directly from our rescued animals. In over fourteen years we have rescued and rehabilitated horses, dogs, cats, birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, and even squirrels.All of these animals have experienced either grief, death of a loved one, violence, abandonment, abuse, neglect or perhaps emotional trauma. And all of them have shown how resilience and hope can help the healing process. Our observation is that when we listen, every animal shares his or her life lessons of understanding the world a little better.We believe these stories share important information for adults to understand the healing gifts animals hold. And we believe every child, just as every animal deserves to be respected, loved, and appreciated.Not everyone can visit us in person, so we bring the miracles to you.
