A Beautiful Story

This is a lovely told story about India in the years between 1878 and 1936. It centers around the life of a beautiful Indian girl named Devi and how her life is altered. There is beautiful scenery, heart ache and family falterings on every page of the 476 page novel. It is a book that endears the reader to Devi, her life and family. If you want to sink into a novel that captivates you, this is an excellent choice.
