Tie-Dye Sam and the Peacock

By Ann Cooper

Tie-Dye Sam and the Peacock starts when a hungry peacock sees a lady wearing a colorful tie-dyed shirt. He decides she must be a distant relative and thinks she will gladly share the food in her garden.
However, when he tries to eat some of the plants in her garden, she sprays him with a hose to chase him away. She is known as Tight-Fisted, Tie Dye Sam, because she does not share.
In the story, the peacock finds a way to befriend the lady. See how the peacock changes Sam..
