Tidbits of Poetry and Muse

As far back as I can remember, I have always been surrounded by family and friends, all being from the "old school" that is the only way I can put it since we are now living in the "new school of thought. I have carried that teaching throughout my adult life.Having married at a young age, I was quite content to spend my time turning my house into a happy home and raising my two children.As the years passed, my passions were formed. Music, singing and writing. Many songs were given to me by the LORD as I played around on my "Cascio". Remember them? They were electric keyboards. I and my four sisters would sing these songs in church, nursing homes and anywhere else the people would listen.Since I always kept a journal, I naturally began to write. Poetry, short stories, Bible studies, essays, opinion pieces, whatever. Being accepted and published in the many small press magazines I submitted to through the years really encouraged me to keep writing. I am so grateful to those editors.Now, in my winter season, I stretched out and put a manuscript together and Gary Drury Publishing(tm) has agreed to publish it.
