Prayer is the source of strength that gets us through our difficult times. Prayer helps me to learn patience in the things my heart desires most. I am still learning that prayer has been essential in my life, even when I fall short sometimes. I have learned to pray when I felt useless, motherless, fatherless, and friendless. I feel when I pray, all of my troubles escape me, and I am at peace with God. I let His love and mercy fill my life, and I am comforted. There are times when I hurt physically, but I know I have been healed spiritually. This is the gift that I am called to share with all of you, dear brothers and sisters, to have peace when the world around us is filled with chaos.
