Thutmose IV as the Exodus Pharaoh: Chronological and Astronomical Considerations

The identity of the Pharaoh of the Exodus has been a mystery. In 2003 a scholar published evidence from research into historical synchronisms suggesting that Pharaoh Thutmose IV lived 55 years earlier than commonly believed, placing him at ca. 1446 BC, the time of the Exodus.

Mitchell and Lappin tested this theory using lunar, solar eclipse and Sothic records, as well as the latest discoveries in archaeology. In their investigation they found new evidence not considered before which supports the theory concerning Thutmose IV.

In their research, the identity of the princess mentioned in the book of Exodus who rescued the infant Moses from the Nile River emerged. The authors therefore present a wide range of evidence supporting the theory, which subsequently attests to the reliability of the Old Testament narratives concerning Moses and the Exodus.

This book is a republication of their paper originally written for the academic community, with the addition of 13 images.
