THUNDER, The Flying Pony of Assateague

One cool spring day, in the early morning hours, a pony was born on Assateague Island; a male colt, a foal, stood for its first time. Tempest thought her newborn looked like any other colt. Recalling her time of rest in the shade of the Loblolly pines, the place of her birth, she gave her colt the name "Thunder."
As Tempest groomed her foal soon after its birth, she noticed something different. Thunder's coat had a definite pink hue. How had she not seen that? She wondered; none of the ponies on the Island of Assateague are pink.
Thunder, a stallion, overcomes his differences, such as the stigma of his color, and discovers he can do things other ponies cannot.
Is there anything Thunder would not try? Heavenly wondered. Thunder is unlike other ponies in the harem, the group of ponies to whom Thunder belonged. He is pink, powerful, and adventurous, and I like him. And so, the adventures of an Assateague pony begin.
