Through the Looking Glass, Stories and Poems from the Road is a collection of short stories and poems I wrote while mostly traveling around the United States in my van. After I retired from teaching, I sold my house, bought a van and visited the National Parks and other beautiful areas of the country. I met wonderful people, sang songs with them in campgrounds, hiked alone or with new companions, road my bike in the Tetons, camped next to mountains streams in the Sierras and led the treasured life of a retired person, still healthy, young at heart and in love with the spontaneity of the moment. My favorite theme is transformation, the awakening of the heart to love, to the joy of being, to the suffering of others. The Great Saints have told us this is the way to live and their words have touched my life.John Mundahl has been a yoga teacher and practitioner for 32 years.
