Lacey Bowering is walking down an alleyway on an ordinary day when she is suddenly confronted by a stranger to whom, despite her initial fear, she finds herself uncontrollably attracted. Following their encounter in the alleyway, Lacey awakens in what appears to be a psychiatric hospital, suffering from extreme memory and blood loss. On seeing her psychiatrist, Nikolai Drusek, she identifies him as the mysterious stranger, although he denies this, citing her psychosis as the reason. Lacey remains unconvinced by his explanation and determines to uncover the truth.
