Being a Defence kid can be tough sometimes, especially when a loved one has to deploy. 'Three Seasons' is designed to provide support to children of Defence Force families during periods of parental absence due to deployment. The book identifies the emotional and familial challenges faced by Defence Force families and hopes to provide, through the eyes of nine-year old 'Lila', a greater understanding of the feelings Defence Force children may experience when a loved one deploys. 'Three Seasons' is an opportunity to recognise the extraordinary contributions our Defence kids make by supporting their loved ones so they can fulfil their military duties for our Country.
