Miracles and healing take place throughout the Bible. The Book of St. John contains many miracles to grip readers' attention. Jesus healed according to faith, according to His word, and according to a touch. Jesus did not touch everyone that He healed. Some experienced healing from their faith alone, some followed Jesus' directions, and some did unusual things. A miracle happened when Jesus healed a nobleman's son. A father asked Jesus to heal his son. Jesus spoke the word of healing. The father believed Jesus, and the son received his healing. Another miracle occurred at a pool when Jesus healed a paralyzed man. The man obeyed the words of Jesus and received his healing when he followed Jesus' commands. Yet, another miracle occurred when Jesus healed a woman of her 12-year issue of blood according to her faith. The Bible did not say that Jesus touched them with His hands during the three healings, but he healed all of them. Along with the miracles, a woman thought enough of Jesus to anoint His body for burial amid the presence of a selfish disciple. Amid a group, a woman poured perfume on Jesus' head. She wiped His feet with her hair. She sacrificed the most precious thing in her possession, the alabaster oil, while Jesus sacrificed the most precious thing He had, which was his life. John 20:30-31 says, "And many other signs truly did Jesus in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book: But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through His name."
