What if you discovered you were the same person living in three different times or timelines and you are sick with brain cancer, would you communicate with other versions of yourself to change or alter your future for the better, if possible? Yesterday, I was fourteen and not also, a four-year-old and a twenty-six-year-old, as it seems I am today. How I discovered this, began with my afterschool practice for the varsity swimming team. I changed into my jammers and started the brief walk to the larger of two pools to line up with the swim coach. On the way, I walked almost the length of the smaller pool when I slipped on a loose tile, crossing at an angle over the corner, falling backwards into the shallow end and hitting my head on the side. As I regained consciousness, I found the swim coach and my team mates kneeling over me with my backside on the floor. Uncertain of my condition, the swim coach drove me to the emergency room. The doctor examined my head and asked about possible symptoms before today and since falling, then ordered an MRI of my brain. The nurse asked me more questions about having metal parts in my body and whisked me off to get changed into a hospital gown, before having me to lay down on a slender table outside the MRI room with ear plugs inserted. I was pushed into a noticeably cooler room towards the empty hole of a giant-looking donut and asked to remain still as they placed a mask of sorts over my face. The donut turned out to be an MRI machine with an opening in its center. The technician positioned me inside the machine and told me, there were rare cases where individuals experience flashes of light across their retinas and to avoid this, I needed to remain still as this is caused by magnetic fields varying across time in the space of the brain.
