"Three Gymnop dies for Literature" borrows its title from French composer, Erik Satie, who wrote "Trois Gymnop dies" for solo piano in 1888. Like Satie's work, each of the stories in "Three Gymnop dies for Literature" seek to examine a common theme, but from a different perspective. The common interlocking themes examined in David's work are loneliness, loss, and transformation.
