Three Degrees of Decay

Three Degrees of Decay is a synthesis of suffering, describing in abstract terms the authors experience with psychosis and homelessness through poetry. It is split into three degrees:

First Degree: 13 Episodes: This is an abstract recounting of trauma based around my personal experience of psychosis and homelessness.

Second Degree: 13 Agonies: This section is a synthesis of suffering post-trauma, and how trauma and mental health issues can affect people, myself included. This degree highlights the difficulties in processing deep-seated trauma.

Third Degree: 12 Rituals: This section explores the ritualisation of suffering, spirituality and existential dread. It is the culmination of the last two sections, working through rituals as a way of understanding pain.
