Saul of Tarsus himself was among those who had consented to the martyrdom of Stephen. Not long afterward, he would be struck down by a vision on the road to Damascus, where he was headed to coordinate the persecution of Christians. It was in that moment that the transformation began-of a man both feared and formidable, who, from being a relentless persecutor of Christians, would become the greatest preacher of the Gospel the world has ever known: the Apostle Paul.

Rather than offering just another biography, Antonino Taverna seeks to reflect on what may have occurred during the three days in Damascus following that extraordinary encounter Paul had with Jesus.

In the second part of the book, Giuseppe Guarino presents an overview of Paul's life, his missionary journeys, a chronological outline of his epistles, and an edition of the apocryphal Epistle to the Laodiceans.

Antonino Taverna is retired professor from an Italian Bible school. Now he is fully committed to writing Christian books. This is his first book translated in English.
