On September 19, 1740, Christian VI gave Gl. Humleb k Kro's grant under royal hand and seal. At that time the inn was located down at the fishing village, but later, as part of the construction of a larger hotel, was moved to "Adelsvejen", which Strandvejen was called at that time. Thus began centuries of haute cuisine in Denmark
