Thoughts of the Midnight Mind explores the idea of living in a world and society with so many rules and standards that everyone must live with to survive. It touches upon notions of love and heartbreak as well as the struggles one undergoes when dealing with several different mental health issues. The final section turns the message around to help one through this challenging life we all live in. To help the reader understand that there is more to life than mere pain. The poetry is heartfelt, and each has its own little story meant to connect with several different kinds of readers because we have all experienced pain. Several poems are also accompanied by illustrations to provide the reader with a visual for a certain feeling. It is a collection of poems that sympathizes with the reader, as they may find themselves in one or many of these poems.
