This book is meant to get people to believe it is possible to set goals and accomplish them. It is a collection of original motivational quotes that he found himself sharing with his students throughout his teaching career. He also hopes that, by reading this book, it will cause people to see ways in which they can improve themselves and any relationship that they are in. He believes that every relationship is important and should be treasured. He hopes to reach in particular, young adults across the nation. He is trying to get them to understand that negative peer pressure, doesn't have to be succumbed to. One of Flournoy's students, who was a young and upcoming rap artist, told him that hewasn't "going to live long" when he told him to stop rapping in class and concentrate on his math. Approximately three weeks later, Flournoy was at that student's funeral. He and a few of his friends decided to skip school and play with a loaded gun. He shot himself in the head. Instead calling the police, his friends left him in a dumpster.
