The Author writes: As for my literary influences I would prefer to be compared with McMurtry or Salinger, writing as I do with a rye smile (sorry ); The Graduate is my most favourite movie of all time so that's already been done; Damon Runyan I consider a real ground-breaker when it comes to characterisation and the use of dialogue.

As a teenager I read all that Steinbeck had committed to print.

Currently I look for the crime fiction of Carl Hiaasen and the romantic fiction maestro, Nicholas Sparks, but I have been known to pick up Colleen Hoover and Sally Rooney. (I do mean their books )
