Those EYES: The Story of Matthias of Malta

By Eldon N. Spady

Those EYES is a rags to riches story, based in the 1st century, A.D. Mitthias's story involves shattering disappointments, violent encounters with people who want to do him harm, and finally his triumph over life's vicissitudes. Oh, yes. Let's not forget the love story.
There are things that occur to us that can have a lasting effect on how we live the rest of our lives. Occurrences that can change our demeanor and the underlying purpose of our lives. In many cases we would be hard pressed to define the actual effect of such occurrences and many times these changes can best be seen by those close to us.
Such was the case with Matthias. What he and many people described as a great physical tragedy led to an encounter that he would never have guessed would define his actions and motives in the future.
His violent loss of a parent, the disabling accident, abandonment by his other parent, and what seemed a chance encounter with a stranger, all made a huge difference in his future.
From being a slave, twice, to a wealthy plantation owner, his early life experiences unconsciously defined much of the man he became.
There is a gradual spiritual unfoldment that began with his healing, grew through his kindness and service to others in spite of, of maybe because of his life challenges, and culminated with his finding Christianity in its earliest years as he encountered some of those who had first-hand knowledge of Jesus.
The occasional management concepts were developed during the author's many years of management experience.
