A wonderful source of words for the "ups and "downs" of life.

I received this book from a friend during my breast cancer treatments. It is filled with short, but inspiring words of faith, support, triumph, peace, disappointment, and unexpected events that everyone encounters. I have since purchased this small, but powerful book for several friends.

Ministry helps and comfort for everyday life

The book Thorns & Thrones is a wonderful help for any person who ministers to others in a difficult time of need. It also gives insights and comforts to the sometimes daily stuggles of life. Jesus travels with us through the thorns of life and brings us to His throne chamber where we find peace and reassurance. An excellent book and must be reprinted.

A must-have for every Parish Nurse and Stephen Minister!

I wish this book would be re-printed. Hoff presents many life trials in short prose or poetry; she includes a prayer and scripture with each trial. Thorns and Thrones addresses spiritual and emotional needs (THORNS)and answers (THRONES). I have used this book in ministry to the lonely, the elderly, the dying, those who are discouraged, fearful, chronicaly ill, and those who are grieving.
